দেশের প্রচলিত ব্যবসায়িক কার্যক্রমগুলোর আরও টেকসই উন্নয়নে লক্ষ্যের (এসডিজি) সঙ্গে সমন্বয় করার প্রত্যয়ের মধ্যদিয়ে অনুষ্ঠিত হলো ‘সাসটেইনাবিলিটি সামিট’। বিভিন্ন কোম্পানির প্রধান নির্বাহী কর্মকর্তাদের (সিইও) বিশ্লেষণে উঠে আসে দেশে এসডিজি অর্জনে ব্র্যান্ডগুলো কীভাবে, কী ধরনের ভূমিকা রাখতে পারে সেসব বিষয়ও।
মঙ্গলবার (১১ সেপ্টেম্বর) বিকেলে রাজধানীর লা মেরিডিয়ান হোটেলে প্রথমবারের মতো এ সামিটের আয়োজন করা হয়। বাংলাদেশ ইনোভেশন কনক্লেভের উদ্যোগে এ সাসটেইনাবিলিটি সামিটের আয়োজন করা হয়। আকিজবশির গ্রুপের পরিবেশনায় ও ইনটেলিয়ার সহযোগিতায় এটি অনুষ্ঠিত হয়।

শীর্ষস্থানীয় শিল্পপ্রতিষ্ঠান প্রাণ-আরএফএলসহ ১৬টি প্রতিষ্ঠান এবার ‘এসডিজি ব্র্যান্ড চ্যাম্পিয়ন অ্যাওয়ার্ড’ অর্জন করেছে। প্রাণ-আরএফএল ‘এসডিজি ব্র্যান্ড চ্যাম্পিয়ন ইন ডিসেন্ট ওয়ার্ক অ্যান্ড ইকোনোমকি গ্রোথ’ ক্যাটাগরিতে এ পুরস্কার অর্জন করে।
মঙ্গলবার (১০ সেপ্টেম্বর) রাতে রাজধানীর লা মেরিডিয়ন হোটেলে আয়োজিত জমকালো অনুষ্ঠানে বিজয়ী প্রতিষ্ঠানগুলোকে আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে সম্মাননা ক্রেস্ট দেওয়া হয়। প্রাণ-আরএফএলের পক্ষ থেকে গ্রুপের চেয়ারম্যান ও প্রধান নির্বাহী আহসান খান চৌধুরী এ সম্মাননা গ্রহণ করেন।
PRAN-RFL, LafargeHolcim sign MoU for sustainable waste management

PRAN-RFL group, the country’s leading business conglomerate, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with LafargeHolcim Bangladesh Limited (LHBL) to foster a sustainable future through efficient and sustainable waste management of non-reusable materials.
Uzma Chowdhury, Corporate Finance Director at PRAN-RFL Group and Mohammad Iqbal Chowdhury, Chief Executive Officer of LafargeHolcim Bangladesh signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organizations at the head office of PRAN-RFL group in Badda, Dhaka on Wednesday, said a press release.
PRAN-RFL stands beside flood-hit people

The country’s leading business conglomerate PRAN-RFL group has stood beside people affected flood in different districts of the country.
Dry food and bottled water are being provided to the flood-hit people under the initiative ‘Pashe Asi Bangladesh’.
The relief has been distributed among 4,000 families in Feni and Cumilla with the help of the local administration and the Bangladesh Army on Friday.

Country’s leading conglomerate PRAN-RFL Group won seven national export trophies, including three gold ones, for its outstanding contribution in the export segment for the 2021-22 fiscal year.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina handed over the prizes to PRAN-RFL Group at a programme organised by the Ministry of Commerce at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium in Dhaka on Sunday, according to a press release.
Bangladeshi, Chinese firms ink 16 MoUs covering textile, EVs, solar, fintech

Bangladeshi and Chinese companies signed 16 memoranda of understanding (MoUs) on Tuesday in Beijing to boost collaboration in textiles, electric vehicles, solar power, financial technology, and technology at a summit focused on trade and investment opportunities between the two countries.
Four of these 16 MoUs will bring nearly $500 million in investments to Bangladesh, including one involving $400 million for establishing the largest PSF, PET bottle, and textile-grade factory in the Mongla Economic Zone.
